Commercial businesses need role models, support and encouragement to increase their waste diversion rates for organics and recyclables, and develop innovative ways to build the circular economy.

This reduces landfill emissions from the breakdown of organics, and also reduces the emissions from the transportation of waste.

This action will be led by Sustainable Waterloo Region. Please see below for the most recent publicly available updates.

Sustainable Waterloo Region (SWR) has been reviewing member data from 2022 to determine who the best organizations are that can partner together for the development of this program
