Description

Fossil fuel use can be reduced through the use of more efficient or electrified farm equipment, and through the use of renewable energy sources such as biomass, geothermal, wind and solar.

Farming practices can increase the sequestration of carbon in soils while trees and shrubs in shelterbelts and woodlots can sequester carbon from the air.

A lead organization will need to be identified for this work. There is no publicly available update at this time.
