Transition planning, and the many mitigation projects and actions that will support it, encourage growth of the region’s low carbon economy. This is through creating new jobs, tapping into our booming local technology sector, and contributing to ‘building back better’ in a way that leaves no one behind, as the region recovers from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. By sticking to our commitments and collectively prioritizing our GHG reduction work, we can build a reputation for advancing clean economy innovation as this emerging sector continues to expand and evolve globally.
